The position is remote with training and meetings being held in our Itasca Corporate Office.

The primary focus of the Customer Service position is to maintain and exceed customer satisfaction by pro-actively working Job Project status. This person will also directly assist customers with inquiries such as: expected delivery dates, proof of deliveries, as well as navigation and registration assistance for the Steiner website. Lighting Project Support works closely with the Lighting Project Manager to call customers regarding any changes, issues or problems with their orders before they call us.
Expediting Process
Update Project Status Report with ship dates, tracking information, and miscellaneous information pertaining to the status of the project.
Responsible for alerting the Lighting Project Applications Representative to any problems arising with the project.
Reply to every customer and co-worker inquiry within the business day.
If no definitive answer to problem, must communicate the problem is being worked on so the customer does not feel neglected.
Navigate through Steiner ordering system to find information to expedite and research problems.
Navigate Steiner intranet and internet for tracking shipments, product information, etc.
Provide proof of delivery upon request for regular, lot, and other orders.
Billing process
Bill invoices for jobs throughout project
Closing Process
Closing job with all documents making sure all products are invoiced and closing out all credits due.

Loop Calls
May be asked to check Price and Availability for an order.
May be asked to enter an order or process a re-order and follow the contract review requirements that apply.
Assist customers and coworkers with www.steinerelectric.com website for both registration and navigation.
Assist in training of new employees.
Attend functions, meetings, and training sessions to enhance and improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
Position Requirements: Education, Knowledge, Training, Experience, Licenses, Certification
High school diploma or equivalent required. College experience or degree preferred.
Two or three years' experience in customer service field is preferred.
Able to handle customer complaints and diffuse angry or difficult customers.
Experience in or knowledge of the lighting industry and products is beneficial.
Able to multi-task, be organized, detail-minded and have a sense of urgency.
Able to work independently, as well as a team member.
Must be fluent in English, and additional language skills are beneficial.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
Able to take telephone calls, transfer calls, park calls, leave voice mails, use the phone directory, create and update personal voicemail greeting, daily if necessary, and page.
Always maintains a positive attitude with customers and co-workers.
