Position Summary

This role executes constituency engagement strategies across the College by planning, developing and delivering innovative local, regional, and national events and programs that build community among multiple College constituents and partners. The Director supports day‑to‑day constituent communications and engagement events, and works closely with the College Marketing & Communications team, College Administration team, and staff from the Vice Chancellor for Advancement to advance the College’s engagement strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Dean, senior director of development, and other college leaders to develop and implement a strategic plan to increase alumni and other constituent engagement and financial support.
  • Oversee constituent relations and stewardship activities on behalf of the College; serve as point of contact with the senior director of development and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Advancement, coordinating constituent impact reports, donor stewardship projects and events, and acknowledgment processes.
  • Manage staff and coordinate the planning and execution of all college‑level constituent events, including Alumni Reunion and Honors Convocation.
  • Develop new events and programs that foster engagement and connectivity among College constituents; draft remarks, scripts, and presentations for the Dean related to these events.
  • Partner with senior director of development to support building the major‑gift pipeline through constituent engagement.
  • Collaborate with College Marketing & Communications to coordinate and manage communications and interactions with constituents, including executive communications.
  • Create and oversee volunteer engagement opportunities for College constituents (e.g., board/council service, speaking opportunities, mentorship). Track constituent engagement and interactions with Dean, other senior deans/leadership, and boards/committees.
  • In partnership with the Dean and the senior director of development, coordinate, schedule, and execute activities and logistics of the College Advancement Board, including recruitment, meeting development, and communication.
  • Prepare reports, meeting materials, data analytics, and briefings for the Dean, boards, and committees on constituent engagement efforts.
  • Act as liaison between the College and all external constituents; assist senior director of development with database entries related to donor, prospect, solicitation, and proposal activities.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs to manage event budgets.
  • Serve on committees as requested.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in constituent engagement or higher‑education administration.
  • Experience in project and/or event management.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide courteous, timely, and effective customer service to a diverse population of constituents.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a robust collaborative approach to projects in a team‑based environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in constituent engagement preferred.
