Sr. Program Engineer (Program Chief)

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (US-IA-CEDAR RAPIDS-106 ~ 400 Collins Rd NE ~ BLDG 106). This is an onsite role that requires U.S. citizenship.
What You Will Do

Lead and manage display product development programs, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and technical performance goals.
Provide technical and project management leadership across hardware, systems, and software engineering teams.
Act as the single point of contact for engineering, ensuring technical execution aligns with program and customer expectations.
Drive program planning and execution, including pursuit, bidding, risk management, and customer technical presentations.
Ensure compliance with consistent engineering processes and avionics regulatory/certification requirements (TSO, DO‑160, DO‑254, DO‑178B/C).
Stay current on AMLCD and emerging display technologies, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation.
Balance system performance and affordability, delivering high‑value solutions to customers.
Communicate effectively across all levels, from individual contributors to executive leadership.
What You Will Learn

Advanced Avionics Displays – deepening expertise in AMLCD technologies and emerging display solutions for commercial and military applications.
Cross‑Disciplinary Leadership – collaborating across hardware, software, and systems engineering to drive seamless product development.
Regulatory & Certification Expertise – enhancing knowledge of TSO, DO‑160, DO‑254, and DO‑178B/C certification requirements.
Strategic Program Execution – gaining experience in earned value management, risk mitigation, and executive‑level customer engagement.
Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
Proven leadership experience in certified flight‐deck display development.
Strong background in technical project management, including schedule management, earned‑value management (EVM), and risk management.
Expertise in avionics regulatory and certification requirements (TSO, DO‑160, DO‑254, DO‑178B/C).
Demonstrated ability to meet program objectives and commitments.
Collaborative and adaptable mindset with a passion for mentoring and team growth.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
