Role Overview
Pearl is seeking a Head of Content Strategy to build and lead a scalable, high‑impact content machine across corporate, consumer, and vertical‑specific audiences. This is a strategic leadership role focused on planning, operational excellence, and amplification rather than day‑to‑day writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Calendar Management: Define online presence, develop rolling quarterly content calendars for corporate, consumer, and vertical-specific streams (real estate, home inspectors, contractors, etc.), and oversee multi-format production (video, animation, infographics, podcasts).
- Execution & Amplification: Oversee the full lifecycle of content including distribution, engagement, repurposing, and establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for publication.
- Community Management Oversight: Define community excellence, hire/sourcing operators, and oversee engagement protocols (expecting a shift to outsourced or part‑time models).
- Writer & Content Management: Manage subject matter expert writers, ensure brand consistency, and recruit specialized writers for core verticals.
- Opportunity Recognition: Identify high‑impact opportunities (news, partnerships) and mobilize content repurposing within hours.
- AI Strategy: Oversee AI agents for content generation while providing strategic judgment, brand voice nuance, and topic selection.
Success Metrics (6 Months)
- Increased publishing cadence to a consistent, elevated multi‑channel output.
- Generate 3-5 derivative content pieces from every major research report or white paper.
- Establish operational SOPs for engagement and community management.
- Measurable growth in digital audience across social and owned channels.
- Real‑time execution of opportunities within 24 hours.
- Shift perception of content from maintenance to a competitive differentiator.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or equivalent in consumer‑facing environments.
- Proven track record of building and executing quarterly content calendars at scale.
- Experience increasing publishing cadence and digital audience growth.
- Strong project management discipline with attention to operational detail.
- Direct experience managing or overseeing community manager functions.
- Ability to work with subject matter experts and freelance talent.
- Understanding of vertical marketing and audience adaptation.
