Engineer-Production (II, III or Senior)
Location: Faustina, LA Plant (Onsite).
Responsibilities
Provide plant process engineering support to the operations group including plant optimization, troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, problem‑solving, and problem prevention.
Leverage ideas and resources across plant sites.
Provide front‑end engineering development of capital projects: planning, identifying business objectives, evaluating viable options, preliminary design development, and preliminary economic and risk‑mitigation evaluation.
Support commissioning and start‑up of assigned projects.
Support current business initiatives such as problem‑solving projects or improvement activities involving multiple sites.
Ensure site safety and environmental standards are met through safety audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping tours.
Vigilantly monitor issues that may affect workers and report environmental or safety problems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering – required.
Engineer I: 0–2 years of related experience (phosphates, fertilizer, sulfuric acid manufacturing, ammonia or chemical processing).
Engineer II: 2+ years of related experience.
Engineer III: 4+ years of related experience.
Engineer Senior: 8+ years of related experience.
Required for all levels: MS Office products, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project/Primavera (or similar software); excellent written and communication skills; ability to influence others, strong leadership qualities, teamwork, and problem‑solving/decision‑making abilities.
Preferred for all levels: OIS, PI, Maximo, Minitab, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Process Control Systems experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer – required.
Physical Demands
Occasional outdoor work; exposure to varying temperatures.
Able to lift 0–25 lbs unassisted and occasionally more; climb stairs and work at various heights.
Able to hear, read, write, and understand basic English; vision may require correction.
Require authorization to work in the United States.
Require ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
Must safely perform job duties without posing a direct threat to self or others.
