Job Overview

Title: Media Consultant I – Media & Advertising Sales (Individual Contributor)
Location: Lafayette, Baton Rouge, or New Orleans offices. Hybrid work: at least 3 days per week in office, remote the rest. Travel up to 25% of the time.
Compensation: Base salary $29,300 – $43,900. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of up to $43,900. Uncapped monthly commissions possible.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with team to strategize, grow, and manage your book of business.
Build lasting client partnerships and prospect new opportunities across all channels.
Identify and secure new business opportunities and optimize existing accounts.
Sell a mix of customized advertising solutions (TV, digital video, streaming, display, social media, paid search) tailored to client goals.
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning.
Educate clients on data‑driven strategies and serve as a trusted advisor.
Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
Manage campaign execution with internal teams (creative, research, digital) to achieve client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and represent Cox Media in the local community.
Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of related experience in sales/business development (or equivalent education and experience).
Proven success in identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and exceeding sales goals.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.
Ability to use data to develop and sell a media strategy.
Skilled at presenting complex solutions in a simple, easy‑to‑understand manner.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in prospecting new business and nurturing existing relationships through consultative selling.
Deep digital marketing expertise and experience selling multi‑platform digital advertising and media solutions.
Knowledge of evolving digital and media landscape with adoption of new technologies.
Industry certifications and/or Google Ads certification.
Comfort with hybrid work (3 in‑office collaboration days per week).
