PAGODA RED is looking for a talented freelance Social Media Manager to breathe new life into our Instagram and other social channels. Our accounts have a solid following and archive of content, but we’re ready to move beyond static posts and into more dynamic, engaging storytelling. This is a part-time, ongoing freelance engagement for someone Chicago-based.
What You’ll Do
- Develop & execute a content strategy that reflects Pagoda Red’s distinct aesthetic — layered, curious, and visually rich
- Create and produce Reels, Stories, and short‑form video content in addition to curated still photography
- Write compelling captions that convey provenance, history, and the thrill of discovery
- Engage authentically with our community of designers, collectors, and followers
- Grow our reach within the interior design trade community specifically
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence across Instagram and Facebook and LinkedIn
- Track performance and provide monthly reporting on key metrics
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing social media for luxury brand or closely related business
- Familiarity with interior design
- A strong visual eye and the ability to style objects beautifully
- Demonstrated success producing Reels and short‑form video, not just static imagery
- Excellent writing skills with an ability to tell the story behind an object
- Chicago-based; in‑person time in our gallery will be part of the workflow
Bonus
- Existing relationships within the Chicago interior design community
- Experience with Pinterest
- Background in art history, decorative arts or design
