Regional Sales Manager – Santa Ana, CA

Job Description:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) provides strategic direction and support for a team of Territory Sales Managers for assigned brands and products. The RSM coaches and mentors TSMs, influences cross-regional programs, and leads the regional sales funnel.
Responsibilities

Direct field activities of 8–12 sales representatives to meet quotas.
Establish contacts with key decision makers in hospitals, dental schools, medical schools, private practitioner offices, outpatient or surgery centers.
Recruit, select, train, compensate, coach, and motivate personnel.
Provide orientation and guidance to new personnel.
Develop annual sales goals and projections for the geography.
Support company sales policies and procedures.
Relate new product ideas and extensions from the field to the office.
Direct field promotions to promote sales and maintain customer relations.
Develop and manage sales training programs.
Fill open territories and support the sales organization as needed.
Visit customers regularly to promote products and solicit feedback.
Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
Review and report complaints, recommend corrective action.
Prepare and analyze reports.
Coordinate communications between sales department, home office, and other units.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent sales experience.
4+ years of B2B sales experience; medical device sales preferred.
Residency within the territory (ideally Southern California).
Ability to travel up to 50% overnight.
Preferred Skills

4+ years leading/coaching a sales team of 6+ direct reports in a multi-state region.
Strong computer and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Word and Excel; ability to write reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents.
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Problem‑solving in limited‑information situations.
Experience managing a territory of similar size.
Proven leadership and mentoring record.
Completed formalized sales training courses (preferred).
Ability to work independently and creatively.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Salary & Benefits

Target Market Salary Range: $104,300 – $193,700. Compensation includes annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k) match, and other applicable plans.
