At WTXL, we’re looking for a dynamic Account Executive, Local who is passionate about helping businesses grow. In this role, you’ll work with local and regional businesses to deliver compelling advertising strategies that drive real results. From Over The Top (OTT) video and search strategies (SEO/SEM) to social media, digital display, e‑mail targeting, and broadcast television, you’ll offer a full array of solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs. What You’ll Do

Sell advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies, applying the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to analyze customer needs and provide solutions that deliver a return on investment.
Facilitate clients’ access to the full array of digital marketing options in addition to television commercial airtime sales.
Independently prospect, secure appointments, conduct needs analysis, develop customized solutions, present and close sales to build and maintain new business from both traditional and non‑traditional advertisers.
Use ratings data, qualitative information, and market trends to negotiate program ratings and advertising rates with agencies, maximizing revenue while developing custom solutions for new advertisers.
Serve as a trusted advisor to new and existing clients, delivering best‑in‑class customer service, growing accounts, and gaining additional business through referrals.
Perform client services including media availability negotiations, presentation preparation and delivery, copy writing, credit applications, and revenue collection.
Effectively and proactively manage a sales funnel through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, monitoring and meeting key performance indicators and activity levels.
Contribute to the creative development of campaigns through client communication, needs analysis, storyboarding, concept creation, and production assistance.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, which may include entertaining prospective and existing clients.
Carry out routine administrative functions of a media salesperson, such as make‑good resolution, continuous CRM updates with account information and pending revenue, and communication with sales leadership regarding account status.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need

BS/BA in a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience. Generally 2+ years of proven sales success preferred. Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, and digital execution preferred. Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the required company limits.
