Role Overview
The Associate Account Manager supports the Account Management team in driving revenue growth and client retention through account analysis, pipeline development, and renewal preparation. The position focuses on identifying whitespace opportunities, monitoring renewal and usage metrics, and maintaining accurate CRM data to support commercial execution.
Responsibilities
Assist the Account Management team in identifying new revenue opportunities through market research and trend analysis.
Conduct account analysis to identify new pipeline opportunities, whitespace, and license enhancement areas.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and expand contacts within accounts.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with business goals.
Monitor and report on renewal metrics, providing insights and recommendations.
Maintain CRM information including contacts, meeting notes, and pipeline data.
Assist in contract generation, account enablement and prospecting efforts.
Develop client‑ready materials such as proposals, business reviews, sample files, and product collateral.
Ensure IP protection by tracking trials, account enablements, and product terminations.
Monitor competitive landscape and financial markets to inform account strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven interest in a career in financial markets and experience in financial services, financial data or data analytics.
Genuine interest in developing a career path into sales and account management.
Proven analytical skills with ability to analyze data, use metrics, and drive strategy.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate complex concepts.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines simultaneously while coordinating across teams.
Thrives in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment with flexibility and perseverance.
Detail‑oriented with adherence to standards for client‑facing materials.
Ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with Salesforce and sales analytics tools.
Familiarity with key client personas including Buy Side, Sell Side, and/or Energy & Commodities.
Understanding of OTC Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Energy & Commodities markets.
Skills in nurturing long‑term relationships and enhancing customer loyalty.
Previous experience in a sales development role.
Experience with financial modelling and analysis.
Experience with advanced market analysis tools and software for trend forecasting.
Proficiency in additional languages beyond fluent English.
Familiarity with subscription revenue models and renewal lifecycle management.
Salary
Professional / 4 – $70,000 - $80,000 per annum.
