A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Corporate Public Companies/Public Offerings group in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience with IPOs and capital market transactions, providing counsel on disclosure, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
Duties
Advise pre‑IPO and public companies on SEC and stock exchange reporting.
Assist in capital markets transactions for issuers and underwriters.
Collaborate with tech and life sciences clients on IPOs and public company matters.
Engage in '33 Act, '34 Act, governance, and general corporate matters.
Requirements
4‑6 years of relevant experience.
Experience with start‑ups, venture capital, and M&A is a plus.
Team‑oriented and collaborative mindset.
Admitted to practice in New York preferred.
Previous large law firm experience required.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
Admitted to the New York State Bar preferred.
Skills
Strong understanding of SEC and stock exchange compliance.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Ability to work effectively with tech and life sciences clients.
