Product Manager – Biologics is responsible for managing the marketing of specified bone graft solutions, establishing long‑term product strategies, developing and executing annual marketing plans, launching new products, and achieving business performance targets.
Responsibilities

Manage downstream product marketing activities for a predetermined group of products, including sales support collateral, customer and distributor targeting, sales team communications, market campaign development, surgeon and sales education, and competitive analysis.
Oversee day‑to‑day activities of multiple product lines, including forecasting, sales analytics, national contracting support, technical/clinical support, and execution of key sales initiatives.
Collaborate and manage upstream product development marketing activities such as defining product requirements, KOL engagement, KOL feedback analysis, pre‑clinical and clinical evaluation/validation, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory planning.
Drive strategic business plans for assigned products, including market analysis, product roadmap, positioning, lifecycle planning, financial and sales projections, and commercialization strategies.
Collaborate with the Marketing Director on overall portfolio business planning and with Group/Sr. Product Manager(s) on portfolio segment strategies.
Develop and strengthen relationships with key surgeons, supporting new product development, training, marketing materials, and peer‑to‑peer influence.
Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders – industry partners, sales management, sales reps, supply chain, operations, product development, quality, regulatory – to ensure alignment and achievement of objectives.
Consistently collaborate with a marketing team to execute larger portfolio initiatives, including sales training, surgeon education, HCP corporate visits, cadaver labs, and industry meeting support.
Collaborate on continuous process improvement opportunities to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness related to product marketing.
Global activities shall not exceed 5% of the job function.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, or a related discipline.
3 years of related product marketing experience in medical devices.
Experience effectively leading or mentoring colleagues.
Experience working with KOLs and sales to identify product requirements.
Proven experience in creating and implementing marketing or launch plans with multiple stakeholders.
Track record of managing successful product launches with compelling positioning and messaging.
Track record of managing downstream product activities to drive adoption and revenue growth.
Performed quantitative analysis on sales numbers to guide strategy and decision‑making.
Effective in customer‑facing situations (e.g., design meetings, labs, tradeshows, sales calls, customer education).
Ability to communicate with a wide range of internal and external customers (surgeons, executives, sales reps, vendors).
Ability to make persuasive presentations on complex or controversial topics to diverse audiences.
Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, flow charting, and graphs.
Competency in navigating the Internet.
Ability to travel up to 30% of time.
Preferred Qualifications

MBA or equivalent.
Experience in biologics, spine, or orthopedics.
Operating room experience.
Extensive knowledge of cellular biology (BS, MS, PhD in a related science field).

Compensation

The anticipated salary for this position for an employee located in California is $113,000 to $148,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits.
