Role Overview

Seeking an experienced professional excel at relationship management, focusing on building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial business relationships with institutional clients in the North American market. The Relationship Manager partners closely with Business Development Managers on shared accounts and leads engagements to understand clients’ investment goals, servicing needs, and address any issues or opportunities. Responsibilities include growing and maintaining existing relationships, client retention, defense strategies, cross‑selling efforts, and collaboration with internal teams to onboard new accounts and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities

Independently lead engagements with clients to understand investment and servicing needs, discuss portfolios, provide high‑level expertise, and host client meetings as required.
Act as a strategic thought partner to the Business Development Manager on shared accounts, analyzing performance data, investment characteristics, risk profiles, and conducting portfolio reviews.
Serve as a central point of contact internally and externally to ensure servicing needs are met; prepare for, lead or attend client meetings and follow up on inquiries.
Possess a deep understanding of client industries (insurance, pension funds, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, government bodies) and overall objectives that influence investment and servicing requirements.
Collaborate with subject‑matter experts firmwide to onboard new client accounts and process subsequent cash flows.
Partner with functional areas to address client issues, concerns, and opportunities; identify efficiencies and support internal initiatives.
Foster an inclusive culture of collaboration, excellence, and act as a role model within the team.
Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience in the investment industry with a solid understanding of institutional clients’ needs in North America.
Broad asset‑management knowledge across all asset classes, including asset allocation, risk‑based capital analysis, and capital markets; able to communicate market insights to clients.
Entrepreneurial business builder, self‑starting, motivated to grow a business and lead client engagements.
Proficiency in written communication and strong presentation skills.
Capability to independently manage and lead client engagements across multiple asset‑management assignments.
Thought leader with ability to engage external audiences and work under pressure in a fast‑paced, teamwork‑driven environment.
Proactive, willing to learn and grow; advanced degree or CFA/CAIA preferred.
Series7&63 preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range:USD120,000–225,000 (dependent on skills, role, qualifications, certifications, and education).
Additional rewards: discretionary corporate bonus and/or incentives (eligibility subject to performance).
