Job Overview

Position is posted as Hybrid but there is the possibility for fully remote for the right candidate depending on distance to Westport, CT.

We are seeking a dedicated insurance account manager responsible for retention, upselling, and cross‑selling a book of HNW Personal Lines clients primarily with CHUBB, Berkley One, AIG, Cincinnati, and PURE accounts over $15k in premium. This hybrid role may allow full remote work depending on distance to Westport, CT.
Responsibilities

Quoting on carrier sites, including application preparation, loss analysis, and pre‑underwriting of risk for professional, quality new and renewal submissions.
Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverage, terms and conditions to present the best coverage solutions to clients.
Communicate with clients to explain the impact of current market trends, increased cost of materials, reconstruction costs, and inflation on renewal premiums.
Execute policy issuance; obtain signed applications; follow up for download in the agency management system.
Support sales and growth objectives through cross‑selling, upselling, and retaining existing business.
Process incoming mail, faxes, emails, underwriting requests, policy change requests, and issue Evidences of Insurance, ID cards/binders, and other required documents.
Review Daily Communication Log, process changes/updates, and close daily activities, attaching client emails to EPIC.
Utilize EPIC Renewals Manager to address large rate increases on renewals and conduct renewal reviews with alternate solutions 30+ days in advance.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with company partners.
Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance as needed.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Handle all aspects of Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance (including E&S Policies, NFIP Flood, Private Market Flood, Builders Risks, Domestic WC).
Participate in special projects at management’s request.
Provide extraordinary customer service to existing and prospective clients.
Adhere to agency workflows and use the Agency Management System.
Qualifications

P&C license required.
5+ years of Personal Lines experience.
EPIC experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Proficient quoting and servicing on carrier platforms.
Strong written, oral, and phone communication skills.
Ability to analyze insurance coverage and policy forms.
Exceptional organization and time management.
Ability to set priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Independent decision‑making under limited supervision while managing a book of business.
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $85,000–$100,000 annually. Compensation is based on location, skills, experience, and internal equity. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and more.
