Producer in Training

Brown & Brown is seeking a Producer in Training to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. The role will provide a comprehensive introduction to the insurance industry and a foundation for building and managing client relationships.
How You Will Contribute

Develop and execute an outside sales strategy.
Produce new accounts and service and retain existing accounts.
Obtain prospects and actively pursue and create interest by making telephone calls, writing letters, or conducting personal visits.
Analyze prospect’s needs and current insurance programs to identify opportunities for risk‑management improvement.
Prepare marketing strategy information and present carrier proposals to prospects.
Negotiate premiums with carriers and collect deposit premiums in accordance with company requirements before binding coverage.
Collect all due premiums and oversee loss‑control on each account.
Meet with clients regularly to provide required service and document all meetings.
Contact accounts 120 days prior to renewal to review strategy changes and process coverage changes directly with carriers or instruct staff in writing.
Refer group and life leads to the Benefits Department as appropriate.
Maintain production reports and attend sales meetings as required.
Keep informed of industry developments by reviewing trade press and attending designated seminars.
Develop and maintain relationships with approved carriers and surplus‑lines organizations.
Other duties may be assigned.
Licensure and Certification

Active P&C Licence.
Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline (preferred).
1–3 years’ experience in a similar position (preferred).
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Exceptional telephone demeanor.
Routine travel (may require personal or rental vehicle). Acceptable motor‑vehicle record results and maintenance of minimum insurance coverages are required.
Pay Range

$70,000 – $70,000 annually.
