Music BA Contract Manager at Amazon MGM Studios, Culver City, CA. Amazon MGM Studios continues to create critically acclaimed content, including American Fiction, Air, Saltburn, Challengers, The Summer I Turned Pretty and Lord of The Rings. We are seeking an experienced Music Contract Manager to support the Music Business Affairs team.
Responsibilities

• Rights tracking and organization of deals negotiated by the Music BA team (composer, music supervisor, original songs, soundtrack distribution).
• Management of internal tools and systems such as Airtable, and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Responding to ad‑hoc rights queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing publishing registrations for original works as the point of contact for our publishing admin partner.
• Coordinating payments for talent and third parties across the organization.
• Performing general administrative tasks to support the team.
A Day in the Life

Attending internal meetings with Music BA, Creative, Coordinators and Legal/OC for status and progress updates on music.
Ingesting rights data into internal systems.
Responding to ad‑hoc questions relating to deals/rights.
Coordinating invoices and payments.
Reviewing existing processes and systems to find ways to improve efficiencies, including AI efficiencies.
Setting up meetings and tracking next steps.
About the Team

The Music BA team consists of 7 members based in the US and EU.
Basic Qualifications

Experience working cross‑functionally across several teams.
Four‑year college degree or equivalent industry specific experience.
More than four years of work experience in a relevant role within the Music/Film/TV/Entertainment production industry.
Strong organizational skills and experience with rights management systems.
Experience with Box, Rightsline, Quip, and/or Airtable knowledge is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience effectively managing a substantial and time‑sensitive workload.
Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks.
Experience working in a fast‑paced, quickly changing or international environment.
Knowledge of the music industry and production landscape, including labels, publishers and other entertainment entities.
Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $52,400 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $112,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon may offer equity, sign‑on payments and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
