Robert Half is partnering with our client, a Fortune 500 leader in the e-commerce and retail technology industry, to hire an Art Director in Seattle to lead the development of compelling brand experiences across digital, advertising, and integrated marketing channels.


Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)

Duration: 5-Month Contract

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $62–67/Hour (W2)


Position Overview:

The Art Director will lead the creative development and execution of marketing campaigns, digital experiences, advertising, and branded content, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, brand-aligned creative solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong visual design expertise, creative leadership, project management skills, and experience driving engaging brand experiences across digital and integrated marketing channels.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead creative development for digital marketing initiatives, including website experiences, email campaigns, display advertising, and promotional content.
  • Develop innovative creative concepts and customer-centric experiences that align with brand standards and business objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning timelines, allocating creative resources, and maintaining project budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure creative work supports merchandising, marketing, and business goals.
  • Provide creative direction and feedback to designers, photographers, copywriters, and other creative contributors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and refine creative concepts, visual assets, copy, and campaign materials prior to launch.
  • Support occasional print, packaging, environmental, and experiential creative initiatives as needed.
  • Analyze campaign performance and customer engagement metrics to inform future creative strategies and optimizations.
  • Serve as a brand champion, ensuring consistency and excellence across all customer-facing creative materials.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging design practices to continuously elevate creative output.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in art direction, graphic design, creative leadership, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to develop and guide high-quality creative solutions across digital and integrated marketing channels.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design, branding, typography, and campaign development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional creative teams while providing strategic direction without micromanagement.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex design, user experience, and business challenges.
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles, web experiences, and customer-centered creative development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and defend creative concepts to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office; familiarity with web technologies and digital production workflows is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working in retail, e-commerce, consumer brands, fashion, lifestyle, or related industries is highly preferred.


The salary range for this position is $62-67/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
