Position Overview
Cumulus Media | (Albuquerque, NM) has an immediate opening for a part-time Media Sales Intern with a 12-month assignment for our Albuquerque station cluster. The Media Sales Intern position is designed to provide insight into what tasks, expectations, and benefits there are to being part of the sales team in Albuquerque. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking and can balance multiple deadline-oriented projects while maintaining a great attitude in a fast-paced work environment. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities

Primary role is to learn basic sales skills of selling both digital and radio media

Chosen candidate will report to sales management team, but work hand in hand with a group of Account Executives that will help you learn the sales process.

Daily duties can include but not be limited to: warm and cold calling for appointments, gathering research, assisting in creating proposals, meeting with prospects and clients, and helping to place the orders in the system

Assists and backs up Account Executives with orders and traffic as needed

Prepares and assembles reports and presentations

Attend sales meetings

Be available for on-site client promotions

Support client requests for documents, forms and other paperwork to ensure seamless execution of client media buys

Works on highly time sensitive projects, adhering to deadlines

Manages multiple project requests simultaneously with quick turnaround time

Additional duties as designated by the Director of Sales, RVP/Market Manager related to sales or administrative functions, or designated by the Company

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in the Sales and Business Development program at the University of New Mexico.

Should be graduating on or before May 2027

Self-starter that is detail oriented, organized, and must be excellent at written and oral communication and possess strong multitasking skills

Dependable with a strong work ethic and possess a team player attitude

Aptitude to make decisions and work independently without immediate direction or supervision

Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels

Focused, responsible and collaborative work environment with the ability, to ask "what if" and try innovative solutions

Pay Range USD $17.00 - $17.50 /Hr.
