Redwood News KIEM/KVIQ is seeking a

Part-Time Master Control Operator / News Production Assistant

to support our News Production Department in Eureka, CA.

We're looking for a

detail-oriented team player

to join our technical crew for fast-paced daily newscasts and additional programming as assigned.
What You'll Do

Learn to operate our

Commercial Broadcast Playback Systems

to air and monitor television programming and commercials
Train under the Technical Director to operate

studio cameras, microphones, audio consoles, broadcast switchers, and lighting equipment
Support live and recorded productions as part of the studio team
Use

Adobe Creative Suite

tools (a plus, but not required)
What We're Looking For
Strong organizational skills

- able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
Attention to detail

- accuracy matters in live broadcast
Comfort using multiple computer systems
Broadcast experience

is helpful but not required - we will train the right candidate
