Join us and help build a smarter, more sustainable grid—one algorithm at a time.**How You’ll Make an Impact*** Design and implement control systems for FACTS and grid integration projects* Develop and test control algorithms for power converters* Simulate system behavior using MATLAB and real-time tools* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals* Lead design reviews and ensure technical alignment* Support commissioning activities at customer sites* Analyze system performance and optimize control strategies* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycle* Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines**Your Background*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering (default if not specified)* M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Power Systems, Power Electronics, or Control Theory* Minimum 4 years of experience in control systems engineering* Strong understanding of FACTS applications and control theory* Experience with MATLAB, PI/PID algorithms, and real-time simulation* Knowledge of DSP, VHDL, and signal processing is a plus* Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United StatesWe pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
