Job Summary

The Sales Strategy Manager will develop the Business Plan strategies and tools which will deliver national sales and profit objectives. The role includes developing and implementing business plans, sales presentations and tools for field sales, owning the growth plan for In‑Store Execution, creating and deploying sales guidelines, and working as an internal sales liaison across functional groups.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement In‑Store Execution plans.
Collaborate with Sr. Sales Strategy Manager to develop Channel strategy for Seasonal Confection.
Present strategic direction and business building programs to the sales organization and internal management, including development of the distribution growth plan, evaluating opportunities through IRI, deploying plans to Sales team, and supporting display growth plans with the Customer Activation team.
Create national sales presentations in support of the Branded Sales Priorities using consumption and consumer data.
Lead development of sales presentations for National Sales Meetings.
Partner with Brand Team and Sales Teams to solidify Customer Promotion programs that meet Marketing and Sales needs.
Monitor program execution and results.
Develop and track In‑Store Execution goals and materials to achieve distribution and display objectives.
Support Revenue Growth Management in developing and deploying pricing strategies.
Determine assortment & display priorities and maintain on‑shelf guidance with input from Category Management & Marketing.
Track new item acceptance, forecast volumes, and changes in customer distribution.
Track on/off goals by creating shipment data reporting, monitoring sell‑through, and creating action plans.
Provide ad hoc presentations in support of field sales.
Act as the Company’s internal sales resource, attending key internal meetings and providing sales input into New Product Development processes.
Resource marketing department on external opportunities and support field sales in developing and monitoring key account plans.
Support field sales in preparation for seasonal line reviews and coordinate broad communications between marketing team and field sales.
Conduct joint analyses with other functions to develop account strategies.
Work with field sales in key sales calls and assist with training and onboarding of new team members on Customer Marketing team and cross‑functional team members on engagement with Customer Marketing.
Transfer expertise and knowledge to cross‑functional team members and support Senior Manager in developing the Sales Business Planning process, including management plan reviews.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 6 to 8 years of CPG sales team experience.
Minimum 2 years in an analytical role (sales analyst or similar).
Minimum 3 years of direct selling experience, category management, or marketing experience in a major CPG company.
Compensation & Travel

Travel on average 1–2 nights per month, up to 4 nights in a month, with local travel to meetings as needed. The role is based at the Corporate office. Salary range: $131,000 to $171,000 per year.
