Overseeing the development and implementation of media strategies, the full-time Director of Media Relations will engage and educate external audiences on the organization's mission while promoting awareness of its policies and values in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement media and public relations strategies to enhance organizational visibility
Represent the organization at media and public events, building relationships with key media partners
Analyze industry news and recommend action plans to address relevant issues impacting the organization
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
7+ years of media relations or public relations experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
Experience in pitching stories to top-tier and trade media outlets
Demonstrated experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment
Public or media relations agency experience is a plus
