To enhance brand visibility in North America, the full-time salaried Consumer Communications Lead will drive proactive storytelling, build media relationships, and lead cultural initiatives to elevate Canva's profile across various platforms.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute communications strategies and campaigns to generate impactful consumer coverage
Grow Canva's awareness and advocacy through strategic media relations and creative storytelling
Identify and capitalize on cultural moments and trends to keep Canva relevant and top of mind
Required qualifications
10-15+ years of experience in high-growth consumer brands, preferably in creativity, lifestyle, or technology
Deep understanding of the media landscape and what constitutes news
Proven track record of securing positive press coverage with consumer and lifestyle media
Established media relationships across various traditional and emerging outlets
Experience working with senior leaders and preparing them for media engagements
