The Stellantis Quality Organization is currently seeking a Wiring Warranty & Reliability Specialist to join our Quality team at the Stellantis Quality Engineering Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Wiring Warranty & Reliability Specialist is responsible for facilitating and leading wiring quality teams to assist with identification and corrective actions of failures identified through the analysis process. The ideal candidate is a technical wiring and connector expert with demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving issues such as wiring shorts due to chaffing, TPOs, spread terminals, poor crimping and connector sealing failures. The Wiring Warranty & Reliability Specialist must be a creative problem solver, proactive in the identification and resolution of wiring and connector quality. The selected individual will have experience in managing cross‑functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be high‑energy, hands‑on individual with strength of conviction – a self‑confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

Responsibilities

Analyze warranty‑returned wiring and connector components to identify failure modes, causal factors, and systemic issues

Manage part return and teardown analysis activities for Wiring, Electrical & Electronics components to support Corporate Quality and reliability objectives

Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Service to define containment, corrective actions, and long‑term robustness improvements

Review and challenge supplier test methods, validation plans, and workmanship standards to ensure failure modes are adequately identified and prevented

Strong understanding of vehicle wiring systems and connectors, including electrical vehicles & hybrid systems

Utilize corporate data reporting systems to capture quality spills and to ensure clean points are in place

Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment

Support and lead technical discussions with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, using clear data‑driven storytelling

Represent the Voice of the Customer by ensuring wiring and connector issues are clearly communicated and driven to resolution

Contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles

Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements

Exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment

Assist in managing day‑to‑day activities of assigned UAW personnel

Must possess strong communication & presentation skills

Self‑motivated and willing to challenge teams on all aspects of quality

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or a related technical degree (Business Technical or dual degree is acceptable I.E.: Major in BA with a minor in Automotive / Technology or Engineering Technology)

5+ years experience in the automotive industry (quality/service/engineering)

Hands‑on familiarity with wiring harness construction, terminals, connectors, seals, and assembly processes

Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization

Self‑directed and team oriented with demonstrated planning/problem solving skills

Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

Experience within a union environment

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience resolving wiring and connector warranty issues, including shorts, TPOs, spread terminals, and connector leaks

High Power Point presentation skills

Experience with Parts Return Analysis System Plus (PRAS+)

Experience with Global Issue Management System (GIMs)

Working knowledge of Stellantis data systems

Must have good technical and analytical problem solving skills

Knowledge of data analytics tools (Quantic/Palantir)

Green Belt/Black Belt certification
