POSITION OVERVIEW
Starwood Hotels is seeking a bold, brand-obsessed, and commercially driven Chief Marketing Officer to lead the next chapter of growth across its distinctive portfolio:
1 Hotels – nature-inspired luxury
Baccarat Hotels – ultra-luxury heritage
Treehouse Hotels – playful, experience-driven lifestyle
This role is responsible for ensuring that each brand’s mission and purpose are not only communicated but also experienced, scaled, and monetized authentically. The CMO will oversee a multi‑dimensional ecosystem that includes hotels, a growing portfolio of Food & Beverage venues, daylife and nightlife concepts, a pipeline of new openings, branded residential marketing, a rapidly evolving wellness and experiential platform, and the 1 Hotels Mission Membership loyalty ecosystem.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Brand Vision, Purpose & Creative Leadership – Define and evolve the global brand narratives; embed each brand’s mission across every touchpoint; translate purpose into tangible guest value; oversee creative direction across campaigns, content, partnerships, and storytelling.
End‑to‑End Guest Journey & Experience Design – Own the full guest journey from inspiration and discovery through booking, on‑property experience, and post‑stay engagement; integrate digital, physical, and human interactions; identify and optimize moments that drive loyalty, advocacy, and lifetime value.
Mission Membership & Guest Journey Innovation – Lead strategy for 1 Hotels Mission Membership; grow a program that rewards purpose‑driven behaviors; integrate loyalty across stays, F&B, wellness, and experiences; leverage data and personalization.
Experiential Programming, Wellness & Activations – Define and scale wellness as a core brand pillar; lead experiential programming across hotels and venues; develop signature activations that drive brand equity and revenue.
Revenue, Demand & Performance Marketing – Drive total revenue performance across rooms, restaurants, bars and nightlife; lead digital marketing, CRM, loyalty, and lifecycle strategies; optimize demand across global travelers, local communities, and members.
Social, Influencer & Cultural Relevance – Build a social‑first, culturally fluent marketing engine; develop and scale influencer and creator ecosystems.
Portfolio & Concept Strategy – Lead marketing across a multi‑layered portfolio; oversee residential marketing platform; partner on new concepts; ensure clear positioning, audience, and identity.
Partnerships & Community Building – Forge partnerships with like‑minded brands and creators; build communities around each brand.
Team Leadership – Build and lead a high‑performing, multidisciplinary marketing organization; foster culture of creativity, accountability, speed, and experimentation; align centralized strategy with best‑in‑class local execution.
WHO YOU ARE
Curious, creative visionary, experience designer, and commercial operator with proven experience across hospitality, lifestyle, wellness, F&B, nightlife or adjacent industries.
Deep understanding of purpose‑driven brands and how to translate mission into growth.
Fluent in end‑to‑end customer journey design, not just campaign execution.
Experienced in building loyalty ecosystems, membership models, or community‑driven platforms.
Strong command of social, influencer, and content‑led brand building.
Equally comfortable with brand storytelling and performance metrics.
