The Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Simulator Operator/Technician will operate a Predator Mission Aircrew Trainer System (PMAT) training device to generate MQ‑9 training simulations for customer aircrew initial training and recurring flight qualifications. The role also requires full qualification to support ongoing maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, component replacement, upkeep, and repairs of the deployed PMAT hardware to meet system availability requirements at an assigned OCONUS field location. The position requires a SECRET clearance or the ability to acquire and maintain one and is considered part‑time‑on‑call (PTOC), with each assignment lasting approximately 45 hours per week for three months at a time, typically called upon twice per year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure RPA simulator(s) and associated systems operate in accordance with quality and fidelity standards to support customer training requirements
Provide customer service support and address customer needs promptly
Perform simulator console operator tasks during customer training events
Conduct pre‑flight and post‑flight operations
Execute preventive maintenance tasks on the RPA simulators and associated systems
Diagnose and correct routine maintenance issues on the RPA simulators and related systems
Install authorized changes and updates to simulator system hardware and software following documented procedures
Use the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities
Perform logistics duties as required, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation
Apply comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer manuals or similar documents
Train other technicians as required
Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators
Learn and comply with CAE quality management system
Perform all administrative tasks as required
Complete all company‑designated training activities
Pursue continued professional growth and training
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience supporting IQT and MQT syllabus events
Demonstrated ability to role play assets in various scenarios
Ability to work independently in a stand‑alone environment with telephone support as needed
2‑year technical degree or equivalent training
Minimum of 3 years of direct simulator experience, with at least 1 year of relative simulator experience
Knowledge of Windows, Linux, UNIX computer environments
Experience troubleshooting complex problems and RPA related systems
Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams
Ability to use and interpret diagnostic data
Ability to perform preventive maintenance, pre‑flight, and post‑flight checks on RPA simulators
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Fluency in English
Only U.S. citizens eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements
Preferred Skills
CompTIA Security+ and/or Network+ certification
Electronic maintenance experience or training
Security Responsibilities

Do not divulge information or provide access to non‑authorized employees or outside parties without management approval
Store all government and proprietary information electronically on company‑provided resources

Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility. Must be able to work overtime on and off shifts as required and remain on call 24x7 for problem resolution.
