Key responsibilities:

Develop and execute stories that illuminate key issues affecting American life and hold the powerful accountable
Drive coverage of major breaking news events, coordinating correspondents and planning ongoing coverage
Collaborate with visuals and audience editors to create compelling, innovative storytelling that engages readers

Required qualifications:

At least 5 years of professional journalism experience
A proven track record of editing or reporting with distinction
A vision for enhancing national coverage to attract new audiences
Strong collaborative spirit and communication skills
Supervisory experience is a significant advantage
