To support a collaborative web team, the part-time SEO/AEO Specialist will manage the content briefing process, oversee SEO initiatives, and collaborate with internal and external teams to enhance organic traffic and conversion rates, with the option to work remotely while being local to the DC/Baltimore area.
Key responsibilities
Own the content briefing process by conducting keyword research and developing detailed SEO/AEO briefs for content creators
Serve as the project manager for SEO initiatives, tracking progress and ensuring timely execution across all workstreams
Address technical SEO issues and support structured data implementation to improve visibility across search engines and AI-generated answers
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
2-4 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related field
Hands-on experience with SEO/analytics platforms such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4)
Experience with CMS platforms, particularly Drupal or similar
Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including site architecture and Core Web Vitals
