Traveling Lighting Technician

This is a traveling position with base wage ranging from $20 to $26 per hour. There are prevailing wage opportunities available up to $80 hourly. Daily per diem is paid on all non-prevailing wage projects. Crew lodging is paid for by FSG. Employees must be willing to travel by airline. Work/travel schedule includes up to 10 days with 2 paid travel days and 8 working days, followed by 4 days off. Work shift rotation is possible, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on project requirements.
As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for installing lighting products safely and neatly in customer facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professional customer service and have a vast knowledge of lighting retrofit strategies. Technicians must have strong communication skills, team-oriented goals, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities

Comply with FSG safety policies.
Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballast, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems.
Work cohesive with crew and crew foreman, understanding task provided.
Work in a safe manner so as not to damage or disturb customer facilities.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or roofs to install. Maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout the service job/work order process.
Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Degree
At least 1+ years of lighting or electrical experience.
Valid driver's license • Willingness to travel
Must be reliable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Positive customer service skills
