Job Overview
This position is based out of our Westlake, OH office and is eligible for a hybrid schedule after the training and probationary period. The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for concepting and crafting visually compelling and strategically sound marketing materials across all marketing channels and business lines for Equity Trust and any affiliated companies under common ownership. This role serves as a high‑impact individual contributor who brings advanced design expertise, strong conceptual thinking, and a deep understanding of modern marketing to produce compelling, high‑quality creative solutions efficiently while ensuring brand consistency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Designs and produces visually compelling marketing materials across all mediums, including digital and print advertising, social media, email campaigns, sales collateral, presentations and other related materials.
- Designs, creates, and optimizes internal and client‑facing forms and documents, ensuring usability, clarity, compliance, and brand alignment.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to improve form structure, layout, and user experience.
- Interprets creative briefs to produce engaging, memorable, and strategically sound visuals appropriate for the project and audience.
- Owns and develops social media creative that aligns with campaign goals and platform best practices.
- Owns the creative execution for monthly and quarterly email newsletters, ensuring brand consistency and engagement optimization.
- Executes creative across integrated, multi‑channel marketing campaigns, ensuring visual consistency and alignment across digital, email, social, and paid media.
- Optimizes creative based on performance insights and marketing objectives, partnering with stakeholders to refine and improve visual effectiveness over time.
- Drives thinking and conceptual design to continuously evolve the brand to meet the expectations of our dynamic customer base.
- Leverages modern and AI‑powered design tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Adobe Express, generative AI platforms) to accelerate ideation, production, and iteration while maintaining brand and quality standards.
- Identifies opportunities to incorporate new tools and workflows that enhance creative production.
- Applies advanced design principles (typography, hierarchy, layout, color, and composition) to elevate all deliverables.
- Contributes to a creative team culture of curiosity and innovation by staying up to date with industry trends, tools/equipment, and best practices.
- Applies strong creative judgement to ensure all deliverables meet a high standard of quality, clarity, and brand alignment.
- Fosters positive relationships and manages positive project outcomes with senior members of other departments and business units.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in design, providing guidance and feedback to elevate overall creative output across the team.
- Supports the development and refinement of creative standards and best practices across the marketing team.
- Follows assigned work schedule with regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in design/communications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high‑quality work across digital and print, including campaign‑based design thinking.
- Proven ability to execute creative across multiple channels while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Experience designing for social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns.
- Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles.
- Experience working in a regulated or detail‑oriented industry preferred (financial services, legal, healthcare, etc.).
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects at once with a sense of urgency.
- Maintain high attention to detail while managing multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- In person interaction that includes actively collaborating with colleagues and participating in team or company meetings.
Professional Certifications

Technical Skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- Experience with Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express (or similar AI‑driven design tools).
- Experience with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).
- Familiarity with Figma (preferred but not required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
