Technical Documentation Specialist

Do you love translating complex IT topics into clear, understandable language? Then support us in taking our technical documentation to the next level! As part of our newly growing editorial team, you will work in a modern tool landscape (DITA, XML, Markdown) and ensure that our customers and colleagues always find the right answers.
Tasks

Creation, maintenance, and development of technical documentation (e.g., customer manuals, operation manuals, process and service documents) in close cooperation with specialist departments based on XML or Markdown
Application of style guides, templates, and processes for content governance and versioning
Support and troubleshooting of automated publication pipelines with tools such as GitLab, DITA Open Toolkit, and REST APIs
Ensuring consistent, auditable, and compliance-compliant documentation
Continuous optimization of documentation processes and co-shaping the AI-supported editorial of the future
Qualification

Completed studies in technical editing, computer science, communication, engineering, or comparable qualification
Professional experience as a technical editor, ideally in an IT or infrastructure environment
Ideally knowledge of XML, Markdown, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and document workflows
Experience with AI-supported content workflows and a great interest in their active development
Structured, precise, and self-reliant working method as well as a pronounced hands-on mentality
Strong communication skills and willingness to cooperate, especially in conveying technical matters between IT, specialist departments, and management
Very good German and English skills in speech and writing
