About Impact Video
Impact Video tells stories that matter—stories that help people understand, feel, and connect. We create premium cinematic content for personal injury and trial attorneys, and our films are often tied to life-changing cases. We take pride in helping real people be seen and heard, and in giving attorneys the leverage they need in negotiations and mediation. Settlement documentaries, branded content series, podcasts, commercial productions—with over a decade in legal marketing, this is all we do, and we do it well.

The work is serious. The vibe is not. We're a small crew that genuinely enjoys the process—the creative problem-solving, the late-afternoon "what if we tried this" moments, the satisfaction when an edit finally locks in. We care a lot about the craft, we push each other to get better, and we have a good time doing it.

This is a ground-floor opportunity. If you do great work and grow with us, the ceiling here is whatever we build together. As the company scales, so does your role.

The Role
We need an editor who can own the full post‑production process—rough cut to final delivery. You'll be working across a wide range of content, moving fast, and making creative decisions every day. No two weeks look the same, and that's kind of the point.

This starts as freelance with a clear path to full‑time for the right person.

What You'll Be Editing

Settlement videos—cinematic, emotionally driven documentaries built from interviews, b‑roll, graphics, and music

Weekly content series—short‑form educational and thought‑leadership pieces for attorneys

Podcast episodes—multi‑camera interview edits with cutaways and graphics

Bio and brand films—polished attorney profiles and firm brand pieces

Social cuts—repurposed clips optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts

Requirements

2+ years of professional video editing experience

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

Strong sense of pacing, story structure, and emotional tone

Ability to take interview footage and shape it into a real narrative

Comfortable with color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics

Sharp eye for detail, even when things are moving fast

Experience editing short‑form social content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)—you know how to hook someone in the first two seconds

Self‑directed—you know how to push an edit forward without waiting to be told

Reliable communication and consistent availability

You think like a marketer, not just an editor. We're not looking for someone who cuts clean timelines but misses the point. Every edit should serve a story, and every story should serve a goal. If you naturally think about who's watching, why they care, and what makes them stop scrolling—you'll fit right in.

Bonus Points

You've shot before, or you want to get behind the camera

Interest in or experience with documentary‑style filmwork

Experience editing for attorneys, legal marketing, or professional services

Familiarity with podcast production and clip workflows

Photoshop and/or Illustrator skills for creating or adjusting custom graphics, thumbnails, and visual assets
