Civil 3D CAD Designer

Job Description
This role involves working with project managers to produce civil site, water resources, stream restoration, and solid waste (landfill design) construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Responsibilities include:

Create site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, and storm and sewer profiles.

Calculate quantities for construction estimates.

Determine earthwork volumes (cuts and fills) based on existing and proposed topography.

Identify and prepare appropriate construction control systems on plans (baselines, stationing, control points, etc.).

Provide value‑oriented design suggestions.

Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards.

Ideal candidate will have experience with landfill design.

Qualifications & Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting.

3‑8 years of experience.

Proficiency in Civil 3D.

Experience with landfill design.

Experience with digital terrain modeling.

Detail oriented.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
