Executive Producer
ready to take Good Morning Texas, our weekday lifestyle and branded content show, to the next level. The Executive Producer will set the creative, editorial, operational, and commercial vision for Good Morning Texas across broadcast, streaming, digital, social, and live experiences. This leader will combine creativity, communication, and coordination to elevate production and execution of editorial and sponsored content. This Executive Producer role is perfect for a fearlessly innovative leader who understands the balance of client need and audience experience, creating live lifestyle programming that is energetic, community-connected, and authentically North Texas.
Responsibilities
Content Strategy and Audience Engagement
Owns editorial direction, daily execution, and long-term content strategy for Good Morning Texas
Ensures seamless blend of paid and organic content to balance editorial integrity and advertiser need
Develops new opportunities for paid content and sponsorship integration
Prioritizes multi‑platform approach to engage audiences on broadcast, streaming, and social media
Uses audience data, sponsor feedback, and revenue opportunities to inform decision making and guide vision
Responsible for overall quality control
Team Leadership and Collaboration
Oversees daily performance of Good Morning Texas team including producers, on‑air talent, photographers, etc.
Assigns segments, tasks, etc., to show producers, host(s), and photographers
Inspires and coaches team members to deliver high‑quality performance by communicating best practices and success metrics
Manages guest booking strategies and processes
Client Coordination and Management
Collaborates closely with Sales leadership and Client Relationship Manager to identify new business development opportunities
Coordinates directly with Clients on sponsored content to deliver high‑quality paid segments
Builds network of contacts such as PR reps, community partners, vendors, influencers, subject‑matter experts, etc. for potential guest booking
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience producing broadcast news or lifestyle show with live control room experience; prior Executive Producer experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Innovative mindset willing to break the mold
Highly organized and able to multitask
Solution‑oriented with a positive attitude
Software skills including: Cuez or other Newsroom/show production software, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
This role requires flexibility around live shows, client shoots, special projects, and breaking news/station priorities
