Job Summary

Provide technical, sales, and marketing support for the Commercial Lines Team, processing all lines of commercial insurance in alignment with the Team/Branch Manager’s objectives and procedures to deliver the highest level of service to clients.
Responsibilities

Process new business, renewals, cancellations, and endorsement requests in the computer system, with insurance carriers and in client files as requested by clients or producers.
Create, type, and send correspondence to insurance companies and clients to update, obtain, or verify information and service all accounts.
Review binders, policies, and endorsements for new business and renewals for accuracy and relevance; input data into the system and maintain paper files for each account.
Answer client questions about their insurance coverages and needs.
Respond to insurance company underwriter questions regarding client accounts.
Assist producers in preparing proposals, providing policy summaries, and conducting account reviews.
Build rapport with client office counterparts.
Assist the accounting department in the reconciliation of company accounts.
Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to clients.
Seek opportunities to make new sales when in contact with clients and interface with the Personal Lines Team/Producer to develop personal lines sales.
Operate tasks in compliance with the Quality Control Manual for Commercial Lines Insurance and corporate guidelines and procedures.
Other Responsibilities

Pursue a program of personal and professional development.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Team/Branch Manager.
Qualifications

A high school diploma, two years of college, or two years of experience in the insurance industry.
Ability to use office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers, fax machines, and typewriters.
Word processing and typing skills required.
Strong respect for confidentiality and attention to detail.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to understand and analyze commercial lines coverages, forms, and policies.
Holds the required and appropriate insurance agent’s license.
Compensation & Benefits

Typical base pay range: $80,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location.
