About the Role
Serves as the key banking relationship manager for assigned middle market client relationships. Accounts for prospecting new business and working with Client Solution Managers to deepen client relationships. Maintains a “trusted advisor” role, engaging in dialogue with Executive‑level client contacts to assess holistic banking needs and provide customized banking insights and solutions. Drives financial performance through profitable revenue, growth and quality credit. Supports a portfolio of middle market clients with $50MM+ in annual revenue, typically the largest and most complex in the bank’s portfolio. Acts as the Middle‑Market client “expert” and goes to the bank for the largest and most complex clients, providing differentiating consult, ideas, and options. Leads business development by developing a clear and holistic understanding of the client’s or prospect’s business and industry, performing client reviews, maximizing referral networks, and prospecting for new clients and expanding existing relationships in collaboration with the Client Solutions Manager and internal partners. Identifies opportunities and partners to structure, coordinate and sponsor credit and non‑credit solutions. Assembles and leads cross‑functional teams to respond quickly to customer requests and needs, utilizes experts to present the full breadth of the bank, maintains active prospecting effort including identification, qualification and calling, balances prospecting with client maintenance, makes loan and term decisions within established limits, analyzes credit for qualification, follows up on current loans to ensure compliance, studies industry and financial situations for portfolio management, demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations, keeps up to date on regulation changes, follows all bank policies and procedures, completes required annual training, maintains working knowledge of relevant regulations, may coach or mentor others, learns and fosters the corporate culture, and may perform other duties as assigned.
About You
More than 10 years of relevant Middle Market lending experience and a proven track record of exceeding performance in developing business in the Middle Market segment and industry (Required).
4–7 years of high performance experience serving commercial clients with $25MM+ annual revenue (Preferred).
Skills and Qualifications
Proven track record in developing new business, growing market share, and establishing or growing a quality supportive network.
Experience in relationship management teams with an understanding of balancing business development and asset quality.
Expert credit acumen covering accounting, financial statements, business understanding, and operational cash flow to support complex deals.
Working knowledge of the bank’s systems and policies for underwriting and portfolio management.
Thorough knowledge of the bank’s risk‑rating system, credit products and underwriting policies, and structuring credit for middle‑market businesses in diverse industries with complex ownership structures.
Excellent relationship management and business development abilities, analytical and problem‑solving skills, sales skills, and credit quality skills.
Superior client relationship and internal partnering skills, effective communication and presentation.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new business software.
Ability to train and present to small and large audiences, and mentor others to grow their skillsets.
Negotiation and collaboration experience with Senior Credit Officers on credit terms and structures.
Experience with syndications, asset‑based lending, capital structure finance, leveraged lending, enterprise value lending, trade finance, and underwriting or managing Shared National Credits (SNC).

Compensation
The pay range for this role is $147,000.00 to $250,000.00. The rate is based on non‑discriminatory factors including job related knowledge, skills, experience, education and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation (details provided during the recruitment process).
