Position Summary
The Center for Digital Education (CDE) in Olin Business School supports the design and development of Olin’s online, hybrid, and digital learning initiatives. The Video Production Specialist (VPS) collaborates with faculty and other members of the CDE team to create high-quality, dynamic videos rooted in pedagogical best practices. Beyond academic content, this role also leads video production projects for Olin’s Marketing and Communications team and other university stakeholders.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Pre‑production: collaborate with faculty, instructional designers, graphic designers, and digital publishers to navigate the pre‑production process, including ideation, storyboarding, scriptwriting, review, video prototyping, and presentation of creative concepts.
Post‑production: serve as the lead video producer for solo and small‑crew shoots and the lead editor to manage projects through the full post‑production lifecycle, performing professional color grading and high‑fidelity audio mastering to meet strict accessibility standards and collaborating with graphic designers and multimedia developers to integrate visual enhancements.
Production: lead on‑location shoots across campus, the St. Louis area, and occasional travel, selecting optimal shooting sites, managing lighting and backgrounds, capturing high‑quality audio, and ensuring all equipment is staged, protected, and maintained during transit.
Project Management: manage multiple video projects and competing priorities simultaneously using project management systems to track tasks and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of content, maintaining proactive communication with the CDE team and leadership, providing regular project updates, and escalating potential concerns or roadblocks.

Salary Range: $49,700.00 – $82,100.00 annually.
