Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor.
Salary range: $71,000–$105,000 per year. Salary determination is based on skills, experience, and market considerations.
Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to employees.
Manage performance of safety, environment, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.
Collaborate with other leaders to optimize the product line and exceed customer needs.
Drive, implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention and equipment maintenance while fostering “I Own Safety” policies.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring standard work processes are followed, countermeasures are implemented toward becoming a lean organization to eliminate waste.
Function as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring, and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements using EBS processes and problem‑solving tools such as Standard Work and 5S.
Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems, and supervise production activities to ensure products meet or exceed quality requirements.
Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements to meet customer deadlines.
Monitor quality of in‑process work and ensure adherence to Eaton’s Quality Policy and procedures.
Collaborate across functions in planning and distribution to meet operational deliverables.
Manage and promote a positive team environment through performance recognition, coaching for improvement, and development.
Utilize inventory management system to measure inventory levels, diagnose order completions, and monitor earned hours.
Assist in recruitment, selection, promotion, motivation, and counseling of employees.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment OR 3+ years of military leadership experience.
Flexibility for rotating weekends as needed.
Eaton does not consider immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL (or active‑duty military service member exempt).
Preferred Qualifications

Operations experience.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
2+ years in manufacturing supervisory or management role OR 3 years of military leadership experience.
SAP business system experience.
