Overview
This is a hands‑on, highly visible role for a PR‑minded graphic designer who loves turning messaging into clean, on‑brand visuals that get noticed. Based in Jersey City, this company develops specialized medical devices. From press materials to social content, you’ll be helping translate complex healthcare innovation into clear, compelling stories that build credibility and awareness with professional audiences. Their work supports healthcare providers and clinical teams focused on healing, recovery, and better patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Design and develop creative visual assets for digital campaigns, social media, press materials, presentations, advertisements, brochures, and marketing collateral

Create compelling graphics and branded content that support public relations initiatives and overall marketing strategy

Assist in the development of media kits, pitch decks, infographics, event materials, and internal communications

Draft and edit press releases, blog posts, social media content, and other communication materials with a strong focus on tone, clarity, and brand voice

Support brand storytelling through engaging visual content and cohesive brand messaging across channels

Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, sales, and leadership teams on creative campaigns and promotional initiatives

Maintain and ensure consistency of brand identity across all digital and print materials

Assist with social media content creation, campaign scheduling, and audience engagement to help grow awareness and keep content fresh

Conduct market and media research to identify trends, PR opportunities, and competitive insights

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns, branding, and visual strategy

Assist with event preparation, including signage, presentations, promotional displays, press kits, and marketing materials

Support photography, videography, and multimedia content initiatives when needed (nice‑to‑have, not required)

Requirements

Strong graphic design portfolio showcasing branding, digital content, marketing materials, and creative campaigns

Excellent knowledge of design principles including typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy

Proficiency in

Adobe Creative Suite , including:

Photoshop (2+ years)

InDesign (preferred)

Illustrator (preferred)

Canva (2+ years)

Microsoft Office 365

(3+ years; especially PowerPoint – clean, executive‑ready decks matter here)

Experience creating content for social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear, engaging contentAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Familiarity with branding, public relations, content creation, and marketing strategy

Experience with photography, videography, or video editing is a plus

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred

Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a constantly evolving environment

5 years of experience in marketing or public relations and life sciences experience desired.
