Principal Product Manager - Amazon & MGM Studios Tech at Amazon Culver City, CA

Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports—including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.
Prime Video’s technology teams are creating best-in-class digital video experience. As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers.
Core Responsibilities

Drive product strategy and vision for next-generation studios technology platforms spanning Sales, IP & Rights Management
Lead cross-functional teams in delivering scalable solutions that process and manage global content catalogs
Define and own product roadmaps that align with Amazon / MGM Studios and Prime Video’s strategic objectives
Build and maintain executive-level relationships across Amazon’s entertainment ecosystem
Mentor product managers while championing product excellence and innovation
Key Deliverables

Architect and execute the product vision for integrating MGM’s vast content library with Amazon’s streaming infrastructure
Design intuitive solutions for complex content relationships (multi-region, multi-language, licensing workflows)
Develop and implement scalable product strategies that drive operational excellence
Lead transformation initiatives that enhance sales and licensing, IP and Rights Management for Amazon and MGM Studios
Required Qualifications

8+ years of product management experience with large-scale technical products
Proven track record of launching successful products with significant business impact
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Exceptional strategic thinking and execution skills
Strong leadership presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders
Experience in scaling teams and developing product talent
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
8+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience
Experience technical product management
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
