Job Description
The Media Group at NBCU supports a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands including Peacock, NBC, Bravo, NBC Sports, and NBCU International. This position will be on the Content Evaluation & Advanced Analytics team working closely with the Sports Decision Sciences team with a charter to generate impactful content performance insights to enhance content investment, programming, and other strategic business decisions. As Senior Analyst, you will work in a high-visibility and fast-paced environment, delivering insights and analyses that support the evaluation and acquisition of content for NBCUniversal (especially Peacock). This role has a tangible impact on Peacock’s growth and success as it establishes itself as a major player in the streaming landscape. The role consists of developing insights across the NBC Sports portfolio, including the Olympics, NFL, NBA, PGA TOUR, Big Ten, Notre Dame, FIFA World Cup, WWE, and Premier League.

Responsibilities

Query and analyze complex data sets (1st and 3rd party) to develop content and customer insights that drive content, programming, strategy, sales, finance, marketing, and editorial decision-making for sports properties

Generate ad‑hoc analyses to answer critical and time‑sensitive business questions and identify areas of strategic opportunity

Synthesize complex analyses, KPIs, and concepts into digestible presentations for a variety of audiences, including key stakeholders and senior leadership

Present and communicate performance results and findings to all levels of the organization, positioning analyses in a creative and concise manner

Take ownership of projects from planning through execution and delivery, collaborating with partners to define business needs, craft analytic approach, and develop data solutions

Evangelize sports performance stories and data‑driven decision making throughout the organization

Qualifications

3+ years of analytical experience working with large, complex data sets and analytical and communication tools

SQL expert; additional programming languages used for data analysis (e.g., R, Python) are a plus

Advanced spreadsheet skills

Proficiency in PowerPoint is a must

Knowledge of Tableau or equivalent data‑visualization tools for building dashboards

Knowledge of Adobe Analytics and experience with Nielsen products are a plus

Experience with statistical modeling and/or advanced data science techniques is a plus

Impeccable attention to detail

Strategic thinker with ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from raw data

Impressive communication and storytelling skills

Bachelor’s degree

Professional team player with an aptitude and willingness to learn

Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose

Highly organized for project management and documentation

Passion for sports and up to date on media industry trends

Additional Requirements
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary
Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
