Producer, CNN VOD Streaming

Position

CNN Producer – Subscription Service.
Responsibilities

Pitch, write, and edit short, mid‑form, or long‑form content while adhering to editorial and journalistic standards.
Execute ideas with visual storytelling, composition, and pacing.
Use Premiere and demonstrate creative vision for digital platforms.
Manage projects end‑to‑end and juggle multiple assignments.
Serve as a B‑camera operator on shoots.
Analyze video performance metrics and audience insights.
Ensure content complies with legal, rights, and editorial standards.
Collaborate with producers, talent, external contributors, and production partners across the news division.
Own pre‑production coordination (logistics, bookings, clearances).
Assist in pre‑production, production, and post‑production tasks as needed.
Contribute to a culture of innovation, creativity, and editorial excellence.
Qualifications

4‑6 years of progressively complex experience in a similar environment.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, technical production, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong editorial judgment with sharp story instincts.
Proficiency in shaping narrative structure, tone, and pacing.
Strong collaborator who mentors junior team members.
Proactive ideator aligning storytelling with platform trends and goals.
Solid research and writing skills for visual storytelling.
Ability to manage timelines and maintain detail across concurrent assignments.
Clear communicator and proactive team contributor.
Willingness to work long days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Expertise in Adobe Premiere, end‑to‑end editing, field shoot direction, motion graphics, platform packaging, asset management, and independent publishing.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $77,000 – $143,000 per year (salary).
Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards.
