Responsibilities
Support multimedia room usage and maintain/repair multimedia room equipment:
Troubleshoot issues received via work ticket, instant message, text or phone.
Use web‑based consoles to remotely control multimedia system to resolve issues quickly.
Routinely test multimedia equipment and collaborative technology spaces to ensure functionality.
Repair or replace broken cables, connectors and equipment as needed.
Report issues that need further evaluation or cannot be fixed in‑house to the Conferencing and Media Specialist (FT) or Associate Director of Conferencing, Media and Learning Spaces.
Support university streaming events:
Assist with streaming equipment move/setup/test/break‑down.
Assist with running/monitoring streaming equipment during events.
Troubleshoot any issues with streaming equipment and report any unresolvable issues to the supervisor(s).
Support university digital signage solution:
Turn on any displays that have been powered off.
Ensure displays are functional and receiving content throughout the campus.
Troubleshoot any issues with signage displays and media players.
Report unresolved issues to the Conferencing and Media Specialist (FT) or Associate Director of Conferencing, Media and Learning Spaces.
Support events, classes and meetings using portable multimedia and videoconferencing equipment:
Process work orders via the electronic work order system.
Inspect equipment before delivery.
Deliver/setup and pick up/return equipment.
Test equipment to ensure it is fully functional.
Assist users with presentation setup and any technical difficulties.
Repair or replace broken cables, connectors and equipment if possible.
Report issues that need further evaluation or cannot be fixed in‑house to the Conferencing and Media Specialist (FT) or Associate Director of Conferencing, Media and Learning Spaces.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications and Requirements
Associate's degree or vocational/technical school degree in AV Repair, AV Installation, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Videoconferencing.
1–3 years of related experience.
Understanding of MS Office suite (specifically Word & Excel).
Responsive to phone calls, emails, texts/chats.
Responsible for work ticket updates.
Flexibility to work either morning shifts or evening shifts, depending on needs.
