Multimedia Programming Specialist

Job Summary

The Multimedia Programming Specialist designs, builds, deploys, and maintains multimedia courseware on a variety of computer platforms, tablets, and approved mobile devices. The role uses storyboards as a basis of design and a variety of authoring systems or web technologies to implement training content for presentation to trainees. Responsibilities also include designing and developing user‑interface features, site animation, and special‑effects elements.
Key Responsibilities

Combine audio, video, and graphic elements to produce finished, high‑quality digital content.
Design and code interactive multimedia applications, games, or simulations.
Utilize languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, or ActionScript to develop interactive features.
Optimize media for various devices, including mobile, web, and specialized interactive platforms.
Test functionality and performance, resolving issues in multimedia products.
Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketers to ensure products meet branding and technical standards.
Required Qualifications

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Strong curated portfolio showcasing previous interactive projects, animations, or video work.
Expert‑level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition).
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, C++, or ActionScript.
Experience with content management systems and eLearning authoring software such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
Experience in 3D modeling, animation software, and VR/AR development (Unity or Unreal).
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Computer Science, or a closely related field preferred. Three to five (3‑5) years of previous experience in a similar role focusing on interactive media production.
Physical Demands

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit, use hands, speak, hear, and occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Estimated pay range: $33‑$38 per hour, contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
