We are seeking a Senior Group Sales Manager to drive group bookings and revenue for the JW Marriott Reston Station, a 28‑story luxury hotel with 247 rooms and extensive meeting space.

Responsibilities

Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Revenue Management to negotiate pricing and optimize production.

Solicit new group business and manage existing accounts through proactive sales calls, events, FAM trips, and trade shows.

Develop relationships with community partners to expand customer base.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Provide accurate reporting and use market trend data to maximize revenue.

Analyze competitors, economic trends, and supply/demand to inform strategy.

Support operational aspects of booked business, including proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.

Understand the primary target customers and deliver appropriate service solutions.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of group sales experience in a similar role.

Local area market knowledge and established relationships.

Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with guests.

Team player willing to support coworkers.

Previous Marriott experience preferred.

Self‑starter with a cheerful disposition.
