Job Overview

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager is responsible for driving product vision and strategy, and for managing product lifecycles from ideation through to discontinuation. The Product Manager delivers measurable financial and operational results that align with company objectives, ensuring sustained profitability and positive returns to shareholders. This role is onsite in Hebron, KY; Mayodan, NC; or Prescott, AZ.
Responsibilities

Manage specific Ruger product lines.
Develop and implement product strategy aligned with the company vision and objectives.
Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans are met and long‑term growth targets are achieved for each product line.
Collaborate with stakeholders to complete annual forecasts of volumes, revenue, and margins for each product line.
Conduct detailed analysis and brief the Executive Team on market trends, company and competitor performance, and recommend future products and sales strategies, including opportunities for innovation or differentiation.
Deliver new product development briefings to the Executive Team for approval of significant new products or product lines.
Lead cross‑functional teams in ideation, design, development, delivery of new products, and manage existing products, including continuous improvement or discontinuation.
Act as the Voice of the Customer.
Work closely with Engineering Teams on product design, development, improvement, quality, testing, and delivery.
Work closely with Project Management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to requested specifications and quality standards.
Work closely with Marketing Team to develop marketing strategies for new product launches and sustainment campaigns for existing products.
Work closely with Operations Teams to optimize line capacities and maximize profitability on lines with constrained capacity.
Work closely with Financial Teams to achieve product line financial metrics.
Work closely with Legal Department to ensure compliance with company policies related to patents, trademarks, and external marketing/communications.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, quality, and accountability within the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred) or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the shooting, hunting, or outdoors industry.
Financial business acumen.
Ability to organize and analyze large amounts of data in a logical and detailed manner.
Strong communication proficiency.
Understanding of ATF/FFL/ITAR/EAR compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to understand blueprints (preferred).
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
Location

Negotiable; onsite strongly preferred. Remote possible for the right candidate. Onsite locations: Hebron, KY; Mayodan, NC; Prescott, AZ.
