The Senior Executive Relationship Manager is responsible for prospecting and developing upper‑middle‑market banking relationships with companies generating revenues of $75M and above within a designated geographic territory. They use an established professional network to drive profitability through cash deposits, loans, treasury management, fees, and capital markets, providing customers with valuable insights and coordinating products and services that meet client needs.
Responsibilities
Develop and deepen relationships with existing and prospective clients through consultative selling and introductions to qualified bank partners across treasury management, capital markets, insurance, wealth & private banking, and retail banking.
Lead a cross‑functional team in collaborative pre‑call planning sessions, producing robust client interactions.
Leverage Centers of Influence to generate referrals and continually expand the relationship network.
Identify and mitigate credit risks, recommend appropriate credit structures, and articulate bank recommendations to clients.
Adhere to bank policies, procedures, and legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring risks are measured, monitored, and controlled.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
10+ years of related experience in financial services and banking focused on commercial banking relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
15+ years of experience as a Commercial Relationship Manager.
Track record of developing new markets, building brand awareness, and generating meaningful client relationships.
Successful history of recommending and cross‑selling treasury management, capital markets, international banking, wealth management, private banking, and insurance services.
Formal credit training and commercial banking underwriting experience.
Master of Business Administration degree.
Active community and/or non‑profit volunteer involvement.
Ability to analyze corporate financial statements and propose credit structures.
Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn proprietary systems.
Knowledge of capital markets (debt and equity) and experience in syndicated credit environments.
Disciplined, self‑motivated, and able to manage business development with minimal oversight.
Consistent track record of exceeding production targets in call activity, new client acquisition, loan funding, capital markets, fees, deposits, and portfolio profitability.
Workplace
Office based with flexible work arrangements available; remote roles may combine office and home work as appropriate.
