Regional Account Manager – Overview

Responsible for developing growth opportunities in existing and new accounts by identifying current or emerging application needs that position Nordson Medical Interventional Solutions (NMIS). Success is measured by business growth and profitability within the assigned sales region and by increasing penetration of core component and finished device products through collaboration between product development and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and build long‑term relationships with key stakeholders in current and potential customers within the region.
Collaborate closely with other functions to meet strategic objectives set in the Nordson Medical Strategic Plan.
Achieve annual booking quote targets to fuel revenue growth and support strategic objectives.
Identify prospective leads, manage opportunities within the CRM system, and prioritize based on opportunity size, attractiveness, fit, and time to revenue.
Define the value proposition and work with Product and Marketing teams to develop tools that enable sales efficiency.
Communicate NMIS value proposition and act as a trusted adviser to the customer base.
Establish and maintain key customer relationships, lead communication between accounts and NMIS, and coordinate recurring calls, business reviews, and face‑to‑face meetings.
Manage the commercial process from lead identification through territory planning, and quote requests.
Create and manage a Regional Account Plan using the provided template, including target customers and action plans that support growth.
Partner with the global sales/account management organization to share market and customer intelligence.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, or business.
Minimum 5 years of proven success selling to OEMs and contract manufacturers in the medical device market.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction at all organizational levels.
Commercial instincts, negotiation skills, and realistic opportunity assessment.
Ability to encourage debate, make decisions, and move forward.
Demonstrated experience in business planning and multi‑functional coordination.
Adaptability, energy, problem‑solving ability, perspective, process management, and communication skills.
Capacity to create a vision and translate it into measurable action plans throughout the organization.
Working Conditions

Office environment. Travel required: 50–75%.
