Job Summary

WSAW NewsChannel 7 has an immediate opening for a part‑time associate producer, an entry‑level position that provides an opportunity to learn from the best journalists in the market.
Responsibilities

Assist newscast and digital content producers in planning daily news coverage.
Edit video for newscasts and write for TV newscasts and digital platforms, including wsaw.com and social media.
Research story ideas for special projects and file open records requests for investigative reports.
Learn how to produce newscasts and report as an MMJ.
Qualifications

Part‑time position capped at 28 hours per week.
Available to work 3‑4 shifts per week, including evenings and weekends.
Currently enrolled in or graduated from a degree program in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Previous internship or related experience in journalism is a plus.
Responsible social media presence.
Desire to win, ability to reflect on work and apply feedback.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of gear.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Motor Vehicle Records check required.
