Senior Technical Writer

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create clear, accurate and user-friendly documentation that helps technical and nontechnical audiences understand products, systems and processes. This role partners closely with engineering, product, support and business teams to translate complex information into accessible content. You must be able to supply work samples

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, write, edit and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, process documents, knowledge base articles, FAQs and release notes.
  • Work with subject matter experts to gather information and validate technical accuracy.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language for different audiences.
  • Organize and standardize content to improve usability, consistency and document quality.
  • Update documentation to reflect product, system or process changes.
  • Help develop documentation templates, style guides and content governance practices.
  • Support internal training materials, onboarding documentation and procedural manuals as needed.
  • Review and proofread content for grammar, clarity, tone and accuracy.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience writing technical documentation in a business or technology environment.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them clearly to varied audiences.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and common documentation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with content management systems, knowledge bases or documentation platforms.
  • Familiarity with software development, APIs, SaaS products or IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with version control, screen capture tools or basic markup languages such as HTML or Markdown.
  • Knowledge of style standards and documentation best practices.
